Enhanced DBS Checked
Working Safely In Schools & Public Buildings
We regularly undertake projects within schools and public sector buildings where safety, professionalism and safeguarding are essential.
Our team holds Enhanced DBS checks and works in accordance with strict health and safety procedures, giving schools, local authorities and property managers confidence that projects can be completed safely while minimising disruption to staff, pupils and building occupants.
To work in a school in the UK, you need an Enhanced DBS check with barred lists, which is mandatory for all staff (teaching, non-teaching, paid, voluntary) to safeguard children, showing criminal records, cautions, and if you're barred from working with kids. Your employer (the school) processes the application, and you can't usually apply for an enhanced check yourself. This check is an Ofsted requirement, ensuring only suitable people work with children.

- Volunteers: Anyone working regularly with children.
- Contractors: Especially if working frequently or engaging in "regulated activity" with children (e.g., more than 3 times in 30 days
